37 Week check up...

So today I had a bit of a scare...
Last pregnancy I had pre eclampsia which is basically where you swell up like a balloon and have high blood pressure and protein in your urine. This is why I had to have Hayzen at 39 weeks and had to spend weeks prior to that on bedrest. I was swollen by week 20 with Hayzen and between weeks 36 and 37 I gained 14 pounds of fluid that took me THREE MONTHS post delivery to LOSE. It was awful. This pregnancy I have been so blessed to have zero swelling until this week. I have just been watching it closely and waiting to see if it spirals out of control. To keep tabs I weigh every morning. This morning I noticed I could not get my wedding ring on for the first time, and headed straight to the scale. 5 pounds gained between yesterday and today. hmmmm. Panic set in. I thought, "it's starting again!!!" I called the doctor who agreed it may very well be the beginning of the end. She told me to come right in and they would check my blood pressure and urine and if either showed a problem then baby would be delivered today. Nice. When she gave me this news I was at the orthopedist with Bryan and Hayzen getting Hayzen's cast off. Fabulous.

So we get the cast off, which was a less than pleasant experience. His leg now looks awful and is in pain and covered in a weird rash. All should pass within two weeks. And here I thought we would be cured after today... Anyways I grab Hayzen and B and head to my OB. B then has to leave to go close on a house but he was going to be nearby so I didn't stress too much.  By the time the doctor weighed me I had lost several of the pounds from that morning so I relaxed a little. Sure enough, blood pressure was great and no protein in the urine. YAY!!!!!!! Doctor said to stay out of the heat and chill out on the exercise. I agreed. He also said that baby was nice and low and that I could hope to go into labor on my own before my c section on the 28th.  YAY!!!! So. Here starts the waiting game... Oh. And the naming game. Baby is nameless as of now.
