In A Much Better Mood

Ahhh... I woke up in a much better mood and my chick fil a anger has passed! Tomorrow we leave for two weeks in Steamboat with my parents. TWO WEEKS without 110 degree temperatures. Two weeks of my kids playing outside, not sweating, or getting heat stroke or West Nile. Two weeks of time with my family, good food, good wine, and running outside. I am so excited!

I am NOT excited about The Drive. We decided that since you can't fly directly into Steamboat in the summer months, that we might as well drive. Not real sure how brilliant that idea was, but we can hope it goes smoothly.

Yesterday Slayde had his 15 month check up. From 12-15 months he has changed immensely. He has really developed a personality. He loves SO BIG. He is sweet, sweet, sweet. He is also busy, busy, busy. He is into things I never thought possible. I don't even go to the bathroom without taking him with me. That's how in fear I am that disaster will strike if I do. At 15 months Slayde:

-weighs 21 pounds. With a wet diaper...
-is tall. Can't remember how tall, but I know it was the 87%tile
-eats well! Loves food, loves to eat, and grunts and whines if you are eating and not sharing.
-is WEANED! unfortunately he decided at 13 months to take a bottle and now we can't get it away from him! Whaddya do. He only takes two a day, doesn't walk around with it, and doesn't take it to bed so the pediatrician said to just work on it... I'll try but Slayde doesn't do ANYTHING he doesn't want to!
- sleeps GREAT!!! 13 hours a night without a peep and PUTS HIMSELF TO SLEEP. Thank you God for answered prayers. I prayed and prayed and worked and worked and finally we are there!!

Slayde is such a funny, sweet, kind, loving soul. We sit around and just watch him and laugh :)
