So back in November when Hayzen turned 2 I tried to potty train him. It went eerily well. He was so into it that he refused to nap or sleep at night in fear of peeing in his bed. Hours of screaming at nap and bed and waking up dry every day was too much stress on him and I both so I put him back in pull ups. This went fine at first. He did not pee in them EVER, but he did poop in them daily. I was fine with this scenario as he was just barely two. Then he got strep two months later. And refused to go in the potty at all anymore. A few weeks of this and he was back in diapers. By this point I was very pregnant and decided to not mess with it again until after the baby was born. I gave myself the deadline of june 1 to begin again.
So here we are. Ugh. Not Fun At All. He is older and wiser now. And manipulative... Four days in and we are doing so so. Lots of pee sucesses. ONE poop success. Yesterday he held his poop in all day and all night and got a terrible stomach ache. I also figured out that pull ups have to be just for sleeping or he will pee in them. Period. I figure this is going to be a loooong process... Any poop suggestions are greatly appreciatied!!
On a brighter note, Slayde is doing much better!! Way less fussing. Not a lot of sleeping, but less screaming. I'll take it!
